PROMOTIONAL ARTICLE ON BEHALF OF INDUCTION INNOVATIONS

A local college’s automotive engineering garage facility has been used to film some of the new application videos for the Mini-Ductor® Venom™ induction heating tool. Norwich City College’s School of Engineering has an excellent garage facility and its students study a range of courses including the Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and the BTEC Level 3 Diploma Vehicle Technology.

The new videos and photography cover a wide variety of applications to remove rusted or corroded exhaust bolts, stubborn O2 sensors, rusted suspension bolts, brake bleeder nuts and more. The photos and videos are used in step by step articles and advice guides and you can watch the videos here https://www.youtube.com/user/theinductoruk

Ian Baragwanath from The Inductor UK, the Mini-Ductor’s UK distributor said, “We’re keen to work with educational establishments, such as City College, to give the next generation of automotive technicians the chance to develop their skills and knowledge to be effective within the vehicle maintenance sector. Induction heating tools give students the opportunity to learn about the health and safety and efficiency benefits of using such innovative tools in the workshop vs conventional methods.

“The College’s garage facility was the perfect venue for shooting the new videos. The feedback we’ve received has been very good and we plan to work with other educational establishments to demonstrate the benefits of the Mini-Ductor® Venom™.”

Steven Smithurst, Lecturer at Norwich City College’s School of Engineering said, “Safety on the workshop floor when I have 15 students to supervise is paramount and the Mini-Ductor® Venom™ means that students can be left to heat components without the dangers of oxy-acetylene torches. It is a really useful tool simple to use and can be used in a number of different situations.

We carry out a lot of wheel alignments for staff members and the venom makes seized track rod ends a lot easier to free off without the danger of naked flame around driveshaft gaiters etc. The students have also used the Mini-Ductor® Venom™ on a number of exhaust components and found it really easy to use and replacement of exhausts and components a lot easier and quicker to carry out.
