PROMO: DAYCO THERMOSTATS TICK THE THREE KEY BOXES

PROMOTION ON BEHALF OF DAYCO

Whatever the product group, wholesalers have three priorities when supplying their workshop customers – quality, range and availability.

Dayco thermostats

Quality

Dayco is a leading manufacturer of precision engineered automotive products with a track record of innovation. Its original equipment (OE) supply partners include Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroën, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Maserati, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Peugeot, Seat, Škoda, Toyota and the list goes on to VW, so quality is a necessity. However, as an OESAA member, this commitment to quality also extends to the company’s aftermarket programme.

Dayco’s growing aftermarket product range includes thermostats, which in keeping with its ongoing commitment to quality, are naturally designed and manufactured to meet the most stringent OE specifications. The automated control processes on the dedicated VW thermostat production line, ably demonstrate the case in point.

Range

Dayco also has a track record for identifying first to market products to provide wholesalers with a competitive advantage and to include a strategy of growth, as well as a plan of execution, therefore a comprehensive market offering is a given.

However, unlike many replacement products, it is also worth noting that a broad range of applications are covered with a relatively small number of part numbers, which means that carrying a certain amount of stock will not put proactive wholesalers investing in this way at a disadvantage.

By way of demonstration, Dayco part number DT1050V, a traditional valve style thermostat, fits more than 1.3 million Ford applications in various guises, including the B-Max, and has an annual UK potential of close to 44,000 units, using industry figures for rates of failure. When it comes to thermostat housings, which naturally provide wholesalers with a greater profit margin than valves, part number DT1110H for numerous Citroën applications, including the popular Berlingo, represents almost 900,000 vehicles with a potential of 29,000 units per year.

Availability

Naturally availability is also of key importance. However, with a Midlands-based UK distribution centre and next-day delivery countrywide, this is another vital area that Dayco has effectively covered.
