Exhaust manufacturer Klarius has increased its production and fabrication capabilities with the acquisition of new press brake and laser cutting machines. The machines are to speed up the addition of new products to the range as well as offering laser cutting services.
The hardware includes a LVD type Phoenix FL-3015 6 kW fibre laser cutting machine, ideal for producing the complex shapes inherent in modern exhaust systems as well as broader engineering applications. This is joined by a LVD type PPEB320/30 press brake with a 3200 kN x 3 m capacity. The new tools will also be shared with KMT, Klarius’ heavy engineering subsidiary.

Mark Brickhill, CEO at Klarius, said: “The new laser will precision cut 25mm steel, 30mm stainless steel and 30mm aluminium sheets up to 3m long, supported by the new 320 tonne press brake. Together they greatly increase our current capacity and speed. We expect our exhaust manufacturing operations to take up around 10% of the available machine capacity, the rest will support the requirements of our customers and other businesses within the group.”
