NEW ‘HOLISTIC’ FOCUS FOR OESAA

The OESAA supplier group has announced a new emphasis on providing training for whole vehicle diagnostics.

Nigel Morgan

Previously, training information from the group focussed on individual areas covered by member suppliers, for example brake pads or suspension springs, rather than looking at the steering and suspension systems as a whole.

“As OESAA we have the ability to think about systems, not components. I think all of our members are very good in their own special sectors of the market. We think there is an opportunity to link these ideas together” explained Nigel Morgan, OESAA Chair.

“If we talk about systems which are what garages are used to diagnosing I think it is a much better format. So we are trying to create a ‘holistic’ approach to training” he added. “For example, we hosted an air conditioning webinar with Denso and INA.  We had over 200 workshops sign up to it and it worked really well, so it validated the idea of combining presentations”.

Morgan was speaking at AutoInform, OESAA’s flagship training event which was held at GTG Wolverhampton over the weekend of 7-8 November.
