Thermal product supplier Nissens is to acquire a number of subsidiaries of AVA Cooling from Enterex International. The acquisition includes AVA in the UK as well as Benelux, Denmark and countries in Eastern Europe. Terms have not been announced.
Talks are also ongoing over AVA Cooling in France, though the business in Italy will not form part of the deal.

Executive Vice President of Nissens Automotive, Mr Klavs T. Pedersen welcomed the acquisition, adding: “We look forward to working with the employees and the customers of AVA Cooling. We will actively maintain two separate brand lines in the market and build on both the AVA brand and the Nissens brand. AVA Cooling provides a highly suitable response to a growing demand for a reliable and competitive product range for EC and AC applications, not least for the growing demand for ageing car park applications”.
AVA Cooling was founded in the Netherlands in 1963 and the sale of the subsidiaries to Denmark-based Nissens will see it pass back into North European hands. Taiwan-based Entrex acquired AVA in 2017 and invested in new computer systems and warehousing as well as sourcing many new product lines from around the world.
Radiators have always been the core (no pun intended) of AVA’s business and much of the product sourced by Enterex product is produced in a large, modern factory in Cambodia.
