Halesowen-based distributor Optimal UK has changed it’s name following an MBO last year. From this week the firm will be called UKS Distribution.

UKS will continue to stock Optimal products, along with a number of other brands including Al-Ko, Dolz, Trico and Arnott.

Midlands-headquartered Optimal UK was established in 2009 as a partnership between Geoff Jones and Germany-based Optimal AG & Co. – which subsequently became part of LKQ Europe.
When LKQ put its share up for sale, Geoff Jones once again became the owner of the business.
Speaking about the re-0acquisition las September, Jones said: ““With this development, there will be no major changes for our UK employees and customers”.
