SBD AUTOMOTIVE TO HEAD IAAF BRIEFING

by

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has announced that its next Industry Briefing session will welcome a limited number of members with the opportunity for safe networking, as well as continuing with the option to ‘tune in’ virtually.

Lee Colman

Headed up by Head of Membership Development, Mike Smallbone, the event will be held on 12th October at Autotech Group’s headquarters and training facility in Milton Keynes and will take place at 10.00 until 11.30am, with those in attendance invited to stay for the chance to network over lunch.

The guest speaker will be Lee Colman from SBD Automotive, who will delve deeper into the issues affecting the automotive aftermarket, including fast-moving technologies, complex markets and a maze of new risks.

Colman leads SBD’s global consulting and research team, and since joining in 2013, he has applied SBD’s collective experience, as well as his own, to numerous client projects, ranging from OEM partner selection, tier one market entry, solution commercialisation and program launch engagements, and he will discuss how this can benefit members on the day.

During the session, members will be provided with clear, actionable insights decision-makers need to move from planning to action.

Members will also hear from cyber security expert, Francis West, who will give an overview on the threats around the topic, as well as offering best practice on how aftermarket companies can safeguard their business. With more than 30 years’ experience, West has launched several dedicated cyber security and IT solutions businesses over the past few decades and currently sits on five cyber security panels and is the Cyber Security National Lead for the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses).

The event is free of charge and exclusive to all IAAF members. Those who are unable to attend can still register to ‘tune in’ to the briefing via a livestream, by emailing ann@iaaf.co.uk, with details to be announced closer to the date.
