Shortis Group acquires PPK Factors

EU Linco and Wilco owner Shortis Group has acquired Bury St Edmunds-based PPK Motor Factors.

PPK Motor Factors joins the KJ Shortis group of companies

The single-branch factor has been under the control of the Parry family since 2000. Existing team members will be retained and the plan is for the branch to be re-branded as an EU branch in due course.

PPK’s acquisition follows on from last November’s takeover of the three-branch Lourimar chain by Shortis. This business (trading as Motorspares and CDG) also had an outlet in Bury St Edmunds.

“I hope everyone will welcome Sarah, Phil, Joy and Jacob into our group of companies” said Managing Director Richard Shortis, adding that the firm was ‘on the lookout’ for more businesses to acquire.
