A NEW HOME FOR FIRST LINE

First Line has moved to a new home in Banbury. The parts supplier says that after more than 30 years spent operating in its hometown of Bicester, the move will help it grow business and expand its operations. The new 130,000 square foot warehouse will house the entire First Line and Borg & Beck ranges.

‘MONDEO MAN’ STILL KING OF THE ROAD

The average Ford Mondeo owner covers more miles on UK roads than any other vehicle, a survey by warranty specialists Warranty Direct has revealed. The research shows that on average ‘Mondeo Men’ cover 15,000 miles per year, compared to the national average of some 12,000 miles.

GATES CELEBRATES CAR OF THE YEAR OE WIN

Gates says that its aftermarket profile has soared with the news that the Opel Ampera, recently named Car of the Year at the Geneva Motor Show, is fitted with Gates’ Stretch-Fit technology. Both the Ampera and its US counterpart, the Chevrolet Volt, use Stretch Fit technology to increase efficiency.

GARAGE OF THE YEAR TOP 100 ANNOUNCED

Motor Codes has revealed the top 100 UK garages in its Garage of the Year competition. The competition asked customers to vote for their favourite UK garage, with record numbers of votes being cast this year. A shortlist of the top 100 garages, with five businesses in each of the 20 categories has been produced.
