Dacia and Renault launch official Ebay parts stores

Dacia and Renault UK have launched official Ebay stores to sell original-equipment parts and accessories.

They are the latest brands to open their own Ebay accounts supplying OEM parts, joining BMW, Ford, Lexus, Mini, Suzuki and Toyota.

The parts offered on Dacia and Renault's stores qualify for Ebay's 'assured fit' guarantee, under which the marketplace offers refunds on parts that do not fit, if they are returned within 30 days.

Mathieu Mignon, director of aftersales for Renault Group UK, said: “We know that owners will benefit greatly from the convenience and accessibility of eBay as a platform for sourcing essential parts and accessories for their vehicles.”

  1. Another nail in the coffin for the aftermarket. Although it remains to be seen, the morels in the way products in the motor trade have been forgotten in the last 15 or so years are abysmal. The old trade and retail way of selling things worked perfectly and gave the end customer a wide choice of where to get things. Euro Car Parts were the main culprits originally, forcing other 'wholesalers' to compete with them by selling to the general public at the same price as the traders could buy, and eventually driving the majority of smaller independent retailers out of business. Without doubt, long term, and contrary to short sighted opinion, will be a bad thing for the end user by actually costing them more. I look forward to seeing how this move pans out.
