Donna Fearnley, has been appointed HR Director at LKQ Euro Car Parts. She replaces Dave Brookfield, who moves over to LKQ Group in Europe.

Fearnley moves over to ECP having previously occupied similar senior HR roles at Amazon UK and Premier Foods.

Commenting on the new role, Fearnley said: “This is an exciting time to join the business, when the aftermarket is going through a period of rapid transformation – in terms of evolving vehicle technologies and also managing the impact of the coronavirus outbreak. I know that we have a critical role to play as our trade customers adapt to change and prepare for the future, and our people are key to making that happen”.

Her focus for the next 12 months will be on implementing the firm’s so-called ‘People Strategy’ which includes giving branch managers the power to manage key people decisions locally.
Best of luck to her but I have to ask the question… Do any of the top brass actually have any industry knowledge? And no, halfords doesnt count.
There is a certain overlap in similar roles between industries but the deep industry knowledge is lacking as is evident from some decisions being made.
