GATESHEAD BECOMES 18TH MPD OPENING IN 2021

Motor Parts Direct has opened the shutters on a new branch in Gateshead.

The 4,000 sq ft counter will be managed by Stuart Blair who steps up to Branch Manager having been in the company for the past 10 years, and an Assistant Branch Manager in the Durham branch most recently.

The new depot becomes the 163rd branch of the Essex-based chain and the 18th to open in 2021, with 33 openings since August 2020.

Founder Mukesh Shah stated at a network conference in 2019 that “Our vision is to have 200 branches and sales revenues of £200m by 2025”. The latest opening brings the firm closer to that goal.
